John graduated from McCamey High School and attended San Angelo State for two years. Then he graduated from UTEP at El Paso, Texas with a degree in Civil Engineering. John worked for the Texas Highway Department for four years, and afterwards, he worked for Gulf Oil from 1974 – 1982.
In 1982 John and his brother, Jose Molina started Great Basin Petroleum Service, where he was the president of the company until his death. He loved his company and working for it. John also loved to travel and enjoyed being at his ranch. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #3203 and was instrumental to starting St. Mary’s Casino nights. John assisted the organization’s development of St. Mary’s Adoration Chapel. He was one of the brothers of Knights of Columbus who started the Weekly Rosary on Fridays. John was a dedicated businessman, a philanthropist, and a devout Catholic. Most of all, he was a wonderful father and husband.
