A special collection that focuses on the reuse of surplus materials, jointly planned with Fujitaka Co., Ltd., which manufactures high-quality towels in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture. ASICS SportStyle sneakers feature shoelaces made from upcycled leftover yarn. In addition, each sneaker has a distinctive design, including mixed materials used throughout the upper, terry cloth details, and embroidered details reminiscent of traditional patch and repair techniques. The GT-2160 is a sneaker developed following the functional design language of the GT-2000 series released in the early 2010s. It retains the iconic design language found in heritage shoes, while retaining key features from the era, such as the sleek aesthetic and wavy forefoot design.
